OVERVIEW

D4C_Nairobi_group.jpg

This sprint had two firsts. It was the first time we were hosting an event in Kenya and it was also the first thematic sprint where all the selected civil society organisations (CSOs) work to protect and promote human rights online. It was hosted at creative co-working space Nairobi Garage from 30 May - 3 June, 2019.

This was one of the most competitive events we’ve ever hosted, with 139 CSOs applying for just five spots and 273 local, regional and international data scientists, data journalists, graphic designers and web developers applying for just 20 spots! Have a look below and see what the alumni of #D4CNairobi created in just five days.
